The clinic BAVARIA opened as the youngest rehab institution its doors in 1997. It offers medical rehab for adolescents and young adults in Zscheckwitz.
Children are not small adults. Based of this, the rehab focuses on specific developments and the rehab is responsive to the needs and problems of each patient. A children- and youth-friendly atmosphere with experienced doctors, nurses, therapists and pedagogues create ideal conditions.

Location
The medical rehab facilities of the clinic BAVARIA in Zscheckwitz close to Kreisch is situated near Dresden, the capital of Saxony, surrounded by the rolling hills of the nature reserves Lockwitztal/Gebergrund and Dippoldiswalder heath.
There is a terrific circular view from the summit of the Wilisch mountain with an altitude of almost 480 which is south of the town. The Kreischa basin, the “Karsdorfer Verwerfung” in Dresden and the “Weinböhlaer Pflege” and Saxon Switzerland and the Erzgebirge are visible.

Recreation, culture, events, sports
This area is of special importance for the young patients’ rehabilitation besides the medical-therapeutic treatment. By participation in games, arts and crafts, bus rides into the surrounding areas, disco, cinema, theatre or zoo visits the impaired are being prepared step-by-step to readapt to daily life and are reintegrated into society. They have the chance to build relationships with their peers through the contact in kindergartens, schools, music schools, environmental centre, churches and others places.
