The first 5-star hotel with medical spa in Saxony. The grand hotel compound in Bad Schandau accommodated guests already around the turn of the century. A new chapter in the regional history of Bad Schandau began on August 30th 2007when the first 5-star hotel with medical spa in Saxony was opened directly at the Elbe shores in the national park of Saxon Switzerland.
The successful symbiosis of old and new building fabric set standards in regards to equipment, service and atmosphere. The exclusive hotel provides a reception, a broad foyer with open fireplace, a library, a bar, a cellar bar and an excellent wine cellar, besides the 211 elegant rooms and suites. Gastronomical variety at the highest standards: The Saxon Restaurant “Elbterrasse”, the gourmet restaurant “Sendig” and the restaurant “Vital”, among other styles also with Ayurveda cuisine.
The 1.600 m² sized Viva Vital & Medical SPA with aurora bath and a modern gym section is ideal for relaxation and recreation. You will have a magical view from the sun terrace down to the river Elbe. A first class team of physicians will provide guests on demand with a holistic concept of energy medicine. Further emphases are the oxygen therapy according to Manfred von Ardenne and Kneipp treatments. Therapists, physician and a chef from Sri Lanka provide traditional Ayurveda.
